ERTS
ELECTRONIC RECLOSER TEST SIMULATOR

  • Rugged, Small, Light Weight, Field Portable
  • 14, 19, and 32 pin Cable Adapters Built-in
  • Used with Megger Relay Test Systems
  • Simulate Three-Pole or Single-Pole Trip and Reclose
  • Use Sequencer Test to Easily Perform Trip and Reclose Tests on both Electronic Controller and Recloser
The Megger Model ERTS, Electronic Recloser Test Simulator unit is designed to interconnect to Megger Models MPRT, SMRT, and FREJA 400/500 relay test systems for easy field testing of electronically controlled reclosers. The ERTS has 14, 19 and 32 pin cable adapters to directly interface with the most common forms of reclosers such as the G&W Viper®, Elastimold® MVR, with SEL 351R and SEL 651R, and Cooper Forms 4, 5 and 6 recliners.

The ERTS provides the interface between the Megger relay test system and the recloser. The ERTS is used to test both the electronic recloser control and test the electrical operation of the recloser. The three different multi pin connectors provide flexibility in the different types of reclosers that the ERTS can simulate and test. The Megger relay test units provide the individual test currents and voltages through the interface unit, and monitor the individual trip and reclose circuits from the simulator.

MGTR-II
GPS TIMING REFERENCE

  • Small and lightweight
  • Easy to use programmable output pulse for synchronized end-to-end testing
  • 100 ns accuracy within minutes of startup, 12-channel GPS timing receiver
  • Near-Rubidium stability during temporary GPS signal loss
  • IRIG-B serial time code output
  • Standard one pulse-per-second (PPS) output
  • Event time tag (ETT) time stamp with 100 ns resolution
The MGTR-II is a small, lightweight, field portable, GPS satellite receiver system specifically designed to perform end-to-end tests of line protection schemes, with Megger SMRT, MPRT and PULSAR relay test systems. The MGTR-II provides a precise programmed output pulse (POP), with 100 nanoseconds of resolution. This output pulse provides a trigger synchronization of two or more SMRT, MPRT or Pulsar test systems to less than ±1 µ Sec of the Universal Time Coordinated (UTC).

The MGTR-II consists of a twelve-channel GPS timing receiver integrated with proprietary microprocessor-controlled timing and interface logic. The MGTR-II simultaneously tracks all available GPS satellites. The microprocessor-controlled timing and interface logic derives precise timing information. In addition, the MGTR-II provides a standard 1 Pulse Per Second (PPS), and ASCII serial time message, external event time-tag, an IRIG-B serial time code output signal and most importantly, a programmable output pulse for performing end-to-end tests.

The unit comes with a 50 foot (15.2 m) long cable and all-weather, high-performance, high noise immunity antenna with an integrated low-noise preamplifier. The antenna comes with a 4 inch tall antenna mount.

Control of the MGTR-II is through a standard RS-232 serial connection. Software is provided to communicate to, and control the MGTR-II unit.

MLCA
LOW CURRENT ADAPTER

  • Interfaces with Megger relay test sets to provide high accuracy at very low test currents.
The Megger Low Current Adapter (LCA) is a small, light-weight, field portable, unit specifically designed to provide multiple precise very low current sources with the Megger MPRT relay test system.

The combination of the MPRT and the LCA provides a very powerful test capability. A single LCA unit can provide a maximum of three currents 10 to 200 milliamps each phase. The LCA is especially designed for testing very sensitive extremely low current relays with high accuracy amplitude and phase angle.

NTS300A
NETWORK RELAY TESTER

  • 50 ft (15 m) test cable
  • Two-piece design for easy portability
  • Solid-state, digital timer
  • Additional phase angle settings for testing protectors that incorporate solid-state relays
  • High current output for instantaneous test
  • High output power for mechanical low voltage closing tests
The Model NTS-300A is a self-contained, two-piece test set designed for complete testing of General Electric and Westinghouse secondary network protectors.

The two-piece design of Model NTS-300A enables the user to transport the unit and easily lower it into a manhole.

The unit performs operational tests on 216 and 480 volt network protectors; it can also be used for trouble-shooting tests on the operating mechanism and on both electromechanical and solid-state network relays.

PAM410
PHASE ANGLE METER

  • Designed for power system applications
  • Current and voltage inputs
  • Compact and lightweight
  • Local calibration
  • Easy to use
The PAM410 is specifically designed for measurements on electrical power systems. It is capable of displaying the phase angle relationship between two power signals, which can be two currents, two voltages or any combination. Currents up to 25 A and voltages up to 500 V can be applied directly to the instrument.

The current input range can be extended by using external current transformers.

PAM420
MULTIFUNCTION PHASE ANGLE METER

  • Phase Angle Meter
  • 2 channels: voltage, current and frequency meter
  • Timer
  • Compact and lightweight
  • Local calibration
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • Easy to use
The PAM420 is specifically designed for measurements on electrical power systems. It is capable of displaying phase angle, voltage, current, frequency and timing. The phase angle is calculated from the relationship between two power signals, which can be two currents, two voltages or any combination.

Currents up to 25 A and voltages up to 500 V can be applied directly to the instrument. The current input range can be extended by using external current transformers.

PMM-1
POWER MULTIFUNCTION MEASURING INSTRUMENT

  • Simultaneous measurement and display of all three-phase system parameters
  • Accurate phase angle measurement at low current levels
  • Versatile, menu-driven instrument with a built-in timer and data-logging
The PMM1 is a portable, battery or line operated, multi-function measuring instrument designed to measure ac primary and secondary currents, voltage power, reactive power, phase angle and frequency of single and three-phase systems. A high speed recording feature can capture starting currents of three-phase motors. All measured values are displayed on a large easy-to-read graphic display. RS-232 data and parallel printer ports are provided.

SST9203
SOLID-STATE DIGITAL TIMER

  • Versatile timing instrument for many utility applications
  • Rugged design for years of daily field use

TM200
DIGITAL TIMER

  • Rugged and compact
  • Precise
  • Broad application range
  • Contact or voltage trig
A timer is often needed for use with the CSU600A current supply unit or ODEN A primary current injection test system. Testing relays with SVERKER 650 also requires an extra timer if more than one timing cycle is to be measured.

Timer TM200 is ideal for these tasks thanks to its precise accuracy, its broad application range and its compact dimensions. Timer TM200 is the obvious choice for maintenance work in substations.
